Penache | the music industry could do with a sprinkle

Panache is …

a word of French origin that carries the connotation of a flamboyant manner and reckless courage. Inspired after a feather in a hat of a Royal Frenchie. And it’s that va-va-voom that that’s gonna get you noticed.

… and it got my attention. Plumes and all. There’s a je ne sais quoi about this video that could drive anyone gaga. The wilder you get, the more fun you have, and the more feathers ruffled seems to be the trick to sticking your neck out and getting your music out there.

I’m not that gaga about Lady Gaga but you got give the girl credit. She’s her own cult. Just like Maylee Todd … It’s not something that you’re born with. It’s something you grow into.

Moral of this post ?

I’m intrigued the art direction on both these videos… and I wanted to draw your attention to them.

Most of all – Create a Story. Live a Culture. Grow your own unique identity. Follow your talent. Define your defining point. exploit it. If you really want to be taken seriously, exploit your uniqueness. Don’t give me a boyband – give me something to be proud of. Give me something to believe in.

Stick a feather in your hat and cock-a-diddle-doo
