What’s up in Bill’s world?

Everyone loves a good story about second-chances, and that’s exactly what Bill Abernathy’s story is all about.  The Kansas City, Missouri resident began writing songs in his early teens.  He played all through his school years, but then he stopped…Life took over.

Bill went about getting married, building a business career, and raising his children.
After his kids graduated from school and started their careers, Bill picked up the guitar again and began trying to rekindle his love of music.

“Inspiration for my music comes from a variety of the many parts of my life,” Bill says.  “Events and experiences of mine, my family, my friends, and sometimes even people I have never met all, contribute to the creativity of my music. I find it interesting and rewarding to let my imagination wander through the memory and spirit of life events and see where it takes me.”

And while his opening lyrics talk about how we have the chance to turn around – the truth in that is we can never go back. And that’s the music the world needs. Ballads of wisdom. Something to get lost too. Something to get found with. In fact, I’m too songs and I can’t get over these lyrics. Louder, please. With a yes-please-thank-you. And a bubbling over excitement at how many lives these cords can turn around.

Bill’s latest collection of songs, “Crossing Willow Creek” is available now, with first single, “Cry Wolf” hitting radio airwaves around the globe. The single reached the iTunes Top 100 Rock Songs chart, while hitting the Top 5 on New Music Weekly’s country chart. Bill is also a December 2018 Billboard Magazine Emerging Artist.

And it doesn’t matter if you’re not a Country-soul. Because to quote Bill, you’re about to go through some changes. A reminding of sorts. A part of you that you could never forget. And would never forget you. And if you’re looking for more bite, Bill’s gonna snarl and let the wolves out before you know it.

With age comes audacity, truth speaking, and no more need for crying wolf. Fun beats meets music to cast social change too. Music to change the world by. Lyrics you want your kids to know. And judging by the generation that’s rising – they’re hungry for stuff with meaning.

More Bill. Less twerking.

Need proof: It’s always social https://www.facebook.com/billabernathymusic/

Plus it’s the kinda music that would make your parents proud of you, and maybe even inspire them to take each other’s hands – and dance again. If it’s meant to be, it’s written. And well, there’s a track all about that kinda nostalgia that puts Bruno Mars love songs to age.

The world is ready Bill.

“Sometimes life is good to you and gives you a second chance. In my youth I walked away from music for a myriad of personal reasons. Now, I’ve now been given a second chance to pursue this thing we love called music, and I am really enjoying the ride!”
